Zminda Sameba - Ananuri - Davit Gareji
It seems that these cows live on the bridge. They wouldn't' even move when the big trucks arrive.

The entrance to the bell tower is closed, but some tourists climb over the fence and with disrespect of religious culture start banging the bell.
The nun, who is in charge to control the tourists, rushes angry shouting. It takes some minutes until the tourists understand and withdraw.

A real adventure is the way from Rustawi to the monastery oder Davit Gareji under the Georgian - Azerbaijan border. The sh..... road of 25 km takes us 1 1/2 hours. The navigation system is the only chance that we can find the right way. No signs, only some Georgian soldiers who confirm, that we are on the right way. Suddenly we hear some shooting and are stopped by soldiers. With a little English they explain, that they have a maneuver and we can pass after 10 min. Meanwhile we give them some sweets and cold water. Driving further on with the knowledge that there is a military maneuver and the border to Azerbaijan just few meters away is not really amusing.
I think the road from Sagaredscho is better to drive. We will see tomorrow, when we drive back.
A guard tower on the border to Azerbaijan
The monastery of Davit Gareji is interesting, but in my opinion not worth driving there under this circumstances. The caves cannot be visited.
Since it is already late and Hosain tired from the sh..... road we camp beside the monastery with nice company from a German couple who rented a camper in Tbilisi and park beside us.
