We wake up with the sunrise, so that we reach the Iranian / Turkey border earlier. We hope that this time the border clearance is going to be fast and hopefully they will not ask us to wait till a veterinary comes to check on Tara.
Tara gets a long walk, before she might has to stay in the car for many hours
Last view over Orumieh Lake before we turn towards the mountains
Sunflower seeds get dried
The way to Razi border is wild and curvy, but they are already building a highway
Beautiful avenue in Razi
The parking of the Iranian border is filled with cars from Iranian tourists, who leave the car and travel further on by bus on the turkish side, because it's expensive and complicated for them to get an international license plate to travel.
Actually it is extremely busy and chaotic on the Iranian side, because they are still building the terminal and everything is upside down, but this picture was taken before the chaos started
These young men are part of a group who help border crosses to finish the paperwork and they try to find people to transport the cigarettes from Iran to Turkey, because they are much cheaped in Iran. The scenery is like 5 years ago, Smugglers trying to convince you to transport their goods on the other side, but of course we refuse. If one is refused the next one trys the same game. We have to keep our windows closed, so they don't throw the cigarette packages inside our car. Anyhow it is funny and fascinating to watch this chaos.
After all our worries the paperwork is going smooth and after one hour we can pass on to the Turkish side.
The side of the Turkish border is completly empty and after another half an hour we can drive on to our next destination...

.... Van Lake
We find a beautiful place to camp on a peninsula, but as so often this beautiful place is littered with garbage. First we have to clean a bit our surrounding and then we can enjoy the place
